We collect your name and email address through Google or Microsoft Sign-In, your responses to the FACES™ assessment, and any optional feedback you choose to provide. We also record the approximate city, region and country your connection comes from, worked out from your IP address when you visit and when you finish the assessment (we keep the city, not the IP address), and you may optionally tell us your city. We use this to ensure our research is geographically representative.
Your information is used solely to deliver your assessment results, generate comparison reports you request, and improve the FACES™ framework through aggregate analysis. We do not use your data for advertising or marketing.
No personally identifiable information — including your email address, full name, or any data that could be used to identify you — is ever shared with any third party. We use service providers for authentication and hosting infrastructure, but your personal data is never exposed to them beyond what is strictly required. We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to any third party for any purpose.
When you share your comparison code, you are choosing to allow another person to generate a report that includes both your assessment data and theirs. You control who receives your code.
When you take the assessment through a group's link, your results are counted in that group's combined report. The group produces two reports from its overall make-up, never from individuals: a group report that every member who finished can read, and a private toolkit for the person who set up the group. Neither shows your name, your email address, or your individual results, and the person who set up the group sees only how many members have finished. A group report is only produced once at least three members have finished, so that no one can be picked out. When the group report is ready, we email each member who finished once to tell them. If the person who set up the group lists your email address to remind you to take the test, we send you up to three reminders before the group's deadline, each with a link to stop them.
We record which pages you reach, which steps of the assessment you finish, and which link, site or campaign first brought you here, so we can see where people drop off. These records carry a random identifier stored in your browser. They do not carry your name, your email address or your answers, and they are not shared with any third party. If you complete the assessment, the link or campaign that first brought you here is also stored with your result. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we do not record your page and step activity.
Your data is stored on secure, encrypted cloud infrastructure in the United States. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. We will respond within 30 days.
FACES™ does not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics. We use browser storage solely to maintain your session and save your assessment progress.
FACES™ is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16.
